Penny Boudreau has been given an additional six months of day parole. Boudreau pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of her daughter Karissa in 2008 and was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 20 years. Boudreau first claimed her daughter had run away after an argument at a Bridgewater grocery store. Karissa’s body was found two weeks later on the bank of the LaHave River. When Boudreau pleaded guilty she said she was worried Karissa would come between her and her then boyfriend. When granting the additional day parole the board says there have been no incidents.
