The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg has set October 17th as the date for a special election in District 9. It’s to fill the council seat left vacant when Ben Brooks resigned. Nomination day is set for September 22nd and residents interested in running for council can find information on a special election page on Engage MODL. Voting will be done by electronic voting and the District says eligible voters will receive a Voter Information Letter with information about voting and a unique PIN to use for online and telephone voting.
