If you are going to be away or want to check it off your to-do list early voting starts today. Nominations closed for candidates yesterday with 191 people running in 55 ridings across the province. With the close of nominations, early voting will be offered today at your voting location. Residents vote using E-ballots on a secure tablet. Once the vote is cast the tablet produces a paper ballot the voter can then put in a ballot box. Remember e-ballots is not online voting you must go in person to a location to cast your vote. Elections Nova Scotia stresses it is secure and will allow for quick and efficient counting of early ballots on Election Night.
