Lunenburg Town Council has approved funding for the town’s Community Grants Program. The program was budgeted for $18,000 for local non-profit organizations, community groups, and initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, recreational, and community well-being of Lunenburg. A total of $16,000 was awarded to 24 local projects and organizations. Organizations receiving support this year include the Canadian Dory Racing Association, Lunenburg Academy Foundation, Lunenburg and District Swimming Pool, Lunenburg Doc Fest, Lunenburg County Pride and several other community, cultural, recreational, and volunteer-based organizations.
