The Town of Lunenburg will not take any action after an incident involving Mayor Jamie Myra and Saltwind Transportation. After holding a special meeting, members of council met with the owner of Saltwind and then received legal advice in a closed session on Monday night. In a statement released Tuesday, town officials say after careful consideration, the council decided it is not empowered through legislation to take any action. The statement acknowledged the fallout from social media posts, the division in the community and the negative impression created when the incident became national news. It ended with the hope that Myra and Saltwind will work it out between themselves, and everyone can return to the business of governing the town.
