Mayor Jamie Myra is thanking Lunenburg residents for showing up for each other during the Dares Lake dam breach. In a social media post, Myra thanked every resident, business owner, employee, volunteer, and community organization who did their part to conserve water, adjust their routines and support their neighbours. Myra says he is overwhelmed and honoured to be mayor of the town, “Watching Lunenburg come together, put aside individual challenges, and work toward the same goal has been incredibly humbling. This is what community is all about.” Myra says while everyone must remain mindful of their water use the town is in a much better place because everyone worked together.
