It’s back to the drawing board for the District of Lunenburg's Land Use Planning framework. After a public hearing late last week, where councillors heard concerns from residents, council passed a motion directing staff to revisit and revise the framework. Councillors heard several concerns from the public regarding agricultural land designation, permitted land uses and the impact on property rights and development opportunities. An updated plan will be presented to council on July 14th and more public information sessions will follow.
