Nova Scotia places sixth in the country for adult smoking rates, according to Preszler Injury Law. The study shows the national average is 10.9 per cent, Nova Scotia’s rate is 12 per cent. But, here in Nova Scotia teens and young adults smoke more than anywhere else in the country at a rate of 10.7 percent, the national average is 4.2 per cent.
