The District of Lunenburg says Phase 1 improvements at Sawpit Wharf Park are set to begin. Phase 1 includes removal of the existing wooden wharf, closed last year due to safety concerns, and construction of a new wharf and expanded floating dock system, along with upgrades to the boat launch area. This is a multi-year project which will transform the waterfront.
